What is a Podpad?

The Podpad is our tried and tested signature product. It is a solid plywood structure, providing snug and secure accommodation to thousands of guests each year.

How big is a Podpad?

The Podpad is solid, snug, secure and cosy, measuring 2.2 metres by 1.8 metres reaching aa maximum height of 1.6 metres at the roof apex

Do the Podpads have power?

The Podpads are solar powered via the iconic solar panel sunflowers which supply 12 volt electricity via a USB socket. This can be used to charge items such as mobile phones and iPods. Please do not bring kettles, fridges, cool boxes, hairdryers or straighteners, as they will very quickly drain the batteries, leaving you and your neighbours with no lights or power!

Please note that some iPhones use more electricity than other mobile phones, and so we cannot guarantee that iPhones will charge in the Podpads. However, most do, and at most festivals we provide 240v mains power phone charging points on site as backup, but please see the festival specific info for confirmation of this.

Please remember you are in a field and so a constant electric supply cannot be guaranteed.

How does the payment plan work?

Pay 50% at the time of booking and then the rest in monthly payments. There are no administration or interest charges

Monthly payments commence in the following month, subject to a minimum of 30 days having elapsed between the booking date and the monthly payment date.
There is no payment due in the month of the festival or the month before the festival, so for example -

Payment collection dates will be 24 March, 28 April, 27 May, 28 June and 28 July, subject to the above.
Monthly payments will automatically be debited to the card used to make the original payment.

Each month, an email will be sent to the booker to confirm that the payment has been taken.

If the payment fails, for any reason, than an email will be sent with a link to your account, so that you can make the payment manually

If you would like to pay off the outstanding balance at any time,or would like a payment schedule please contact us at info@podpads.com.

What is the Podpad area like?

We aim to create a chilled and safe vibe in the Podpads field. At almost all festivals Podpads will be in a specially designated area within the festival, secured by fencing, festival security and wrist-banded access, but please see festival specific info for details and confirmation of this.

We run a reception and maintenance service, so when you arrive you will be welcomed, checked in, and shown to your accommodation.

There are toilets and showers in the Podpads field, usually for the exclusive use of guests staying within our area.

Does the price include festival tickets?

Podpads do not sell festival tickets so these must be purchased through the official festival ticket outlets. The exception is Badminton Horse Trials where the price of the accommodation includes the appropriate number of adult passes.

Normally the festival ticket required is the weekend ticket with camping, however please check out the relevant festival information for details of the correct tickets required for each festival as it may be that a specific area pass must be bought.

How do I find Podpads on our arrival?

We try and give you as much arrival details and helpful information in a guests’ email which we send out one week before the festival. This will include a site map, where possible, and a contact telephone number for our onsite reception team.
Please add info@podpads.com to your contacts so that our emails get through to you and don't go into your spam folder.

What times can I arrive or depart?

Opening times for our Reception will be listed in the Arrivals info email sent out one week prior to the Festival. You will be given onsite contact numbers to call if you anticipate arriving outside these Opening Times or if your journey gets delayed. Your accommodation will be ready for you at the same times as Festival main campsite opens. However, your access to the Festival site may be limited by the rules and regulations of the Festival itself. This will vary from Festival to Festival. Our reception hours will fit in with the most popular times for arrival and departure. We will, however, leave a key drop-off point clearly accessible.

Can my friends who are camping stay next to us?

No. The ‘podpads’ area is a no-go nylon zone. Quite simply, you and your neighbours are paying for the exclusivity and services that come with the area If we were to allow others in, this would lead to a reduction in one’s ‘personal space’ and an overloading on the facilities and services. It is quite likely that with a bit of careful planning and a site map, your friends can find a place in Public Camping quite near to where we are set up.

Are the Dreamcatcher Cabins secure?

Yes, the Dreamcatchers are secure. They are made from solid plywood and have a lock on the front door. You will be given a set of keys when you arrive at our reception. Please remember to hand them back when you leave!

Why is there a deposit and how do I get it back?

There is a £25 deposit per unit which will be added to your order when you make a booking. This is to cover any loss or damage incurred during the hire period. PLEASE be sure that you report to reception and return your keys to our reception staff before you leaving site after the festival.

We reserve the right to hold back a £10 key-cutting charge for lost or unreturned keys.

After the festival, you will receive an email from info@podpads.com which will confirm if your deposit is refundable. You will need to respond to this email in order to receive your deposit back, so please ensure that we are added to you safe senders list so the email does not end up in your trash!

Medical conditions that require electricity

For guests that require electricity for re-charging medical equipment then we are always happy to help in our reception, where we have 240v electricity. Reception is usually open for a few hours each morning and afternoon.

Please note, we cannot guarantee that electricity will be constant and reliable, as we will be running off site generators, supplied by the festival. Therefore, if you require a constant, reliable, guaranteed power source then please contact the festival organisers and they will advise on whether or not this is possible. Often, there will be a designated campsite which will be better equipped than the Podpads field.
